The UdeM Exemption Scholarship is available for three different degree levels: undergraduate, master’s, and PhD at the University of Montreal. - Masterβs: Non-research students receive $10,474.65 annually, while research students get $10,347.75, increasing to $15,149.70 from Fall 2024. This substantially offsets the annual tuition fees ranging from $29,592 to $30,829.50.
- PhD: Students receive a complete tuition waiver and additional funding of $19,339 annually, increasing to $22,241.25 for certain programs. This significantly reduces the annual tuition fee of approximately $24,300 to $26,562.60.

3. Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarship.
The Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarship is offered by the Canadian government and is open to both Canadian and international students. This scholarship is awarded to highly motivated and competitive students who are pursuing a doctoral degree at a Canadian institution.

5. University of Calgary International Entrance Scholarship.
The University of Calgary International Entrance Scholarship is a merit-based scholarship and is offered annually to undergraduate students who are not Canadian citizens or permanent residents.
Therefore, International students entering first year in any undergraduate degree program are encouraged to apply.
The scholarship value is $15,000 and is renewable in the second, third and fourth year at the University of Calgary, provided recipients achieve a GPA of 2.60 or more over a minimum of 24.00 units in the previous fall and winter terms.
